When online-based menswear curator Wittmore set up a pop-up shop on West 3rd street this summer, it was such a runaway success that after the temporary store shuttered in September they swiftly opened a permanent (and their first brick-and-mortar) outpost just a block down the road. Founded by Paul Witt, who expresses a passion for putting the right brands in front of the right audience, the LA store does indeed target the modern LA dandy with of-the-moment brands and trends that take a gentleman from the beach to the bar and beyond.

In this minimalist, white-walled and gallery-like 750 sq ft boutique space, there is little else to distract the eye – all colour comes from the meticulously-selected pieces hanging from the pegs and arranged atop the tables. The brands represented by Wittmore run the gamut from Levi’s Vintage (recreating iconic styles from a bygone golden era) to former J. Press creative director Mark McNairy’s eponymous line; from Denmark’s Scandinavian-inspired Norse Projects to the all-American GANT Rugger. There are accessories like handmade keychains, pouches and totes by way of New York’s Stanley & Sons, wool blankets and camping backpacks from Denver-based Topo Designs, and mod nautical wrap bracelets made locally by Miansai by Michael Saiger. A stylish Angeleno’s conveniently curated wardrobe!
