Shopping À La FrançaiseMay 22, 2014
Parisian designer Agnès B. (née Agnès Troublé) has kept the French leitmotif alive and kicking all throughout her brand’s 19-year-long relationship with Hong Kong. Today, with 35 local stores – including the first-ever flagship concept store La Loggia, which entered the city’s shopping scene back in 2008 – the brand’s new one-stop lifestyle sibling Rue de Marseille at the K11 Art Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui marks yet another chapter in Agnès B.’s steady conquest of the Fragrant Harbour.
Encompassing the complete list of Agnès B.’s latest fashion and accessory collections, the two-storey space also includes travel concept La Maison Sur L’Eau, a lush floral boutique, and specialty chocolatier Dèlices, all by now familiar to La Loggia’s faithful fans. However, Rue de Marseille introduces two novel elements into the mix alongside the regulars: an artsy bookstore and a record shop. With a café and its very own organic grocery stall, the new Hong Kong haunt takes inspiration from the picturesque Parisian street in both name and aesthetic, complete with an elegant grey colour scheme, 17,000 sq ft of rustic tiled and wooden floors, potted plants and lounge-worthy vintage furniture sourced from flea markets across Europe. Le shopping chic!
